My name is Andrew Smith.
If you are a business owner or a manager who is responsible for making results happen, my passion is to serve your interests.
Making it simple to plan a business or project is my specialized skill.
For many the desire to plan for success is frequently stymied by the perceived size and complexity of process involved
What most want is a simple step-by-step method that makes it easy to transform business goals and ideas into real world results.
If it suits visual thinkers, that would be better . . .
That’s what I deliver. _________________ A doable plan - done in a day http://thebusinessplanblog.com |

Andrew
It sounds like you do what I do, but in Australia.
I would say to get clearer on the end result. A simple elevator template I created is
I help __________ to do ___________ by providing ___________. Then provide as sort as an example as possible. |

Hi Marie
Yes, I suspect we walk down a similar path. But I'm across the ditch in New Zealand, not in Australia. However, I do some of my work in Australia.
Thanks for the template. I may well have to use it. What I was attempting to do was prepare the statement/speech from the audience's point of view . . .
Sort of "what's in it for them" v's what I do.
I'll play around a bit more . . .
Best regards

The template helps you to talk to them.... with who you help (they'll perk up if it's them or zone you out if its not) and what are the results you offer.
So one of mine is...
We help service industry CEOs and presidents double their income or free time by providing focused programs and accountablity.
Simple and it's a good start to a conversation.
Come back and put your updated one here, too. _________________ Be the person who makes your heart smile,

Maria, I'm keen to keep this topic going so that I can develop my ability to create and present a good elevator pitch... Your coaching is welcomed.
Based on your suggested template:
I help __________ to do ___________ by providing ___________. Then provide as sort as an example as possible. Here is my first draft:
"I show people with creative business ideas, how to use visual thinking to get their concept on paper in a way that makes it simple to produce a business action plan.
Yesterday, I helped a lady who is passionate about embroidery to convert her vision and imagination into an Internet based business plan."
How does that sound?
Regards

Getting better.
The worlds "people" or "anyone who" doesn't make someone special when they hear your elevator speech or it won't turn away unwanted people you meet away. I'd do some work on who your ideal client is and what their pain is. Plus no one wants to create a plan. Put that plan in an elevator speech and you turn people off.
What you want is to create your business snapshot from the clients perspective (benefits) and you want to have a better handle on who your ideal clients are.
--------
For readers reading this post, there are two resources that will assist you tremendously.
Ideal client profile -- you can't market if you don't know everything imaginable about yours. You'll be wasting lots of time if you don't know yours. http://www.BusinessAdvisorINaBox.com/idealclient.html
Networking -- the whole business snapshot (elevator speech) as well as lots of other great things can be yours at http://www.businessadvisorinabox.com/usp.html
