Protecting and Saving Your Computer Passwords

Stategic Business Coach, Planning Strategist Maria Marsala by Maria Marsala

Summary: You'll be lost without them so find a way to protect your passwords.

Are you one of the many people who lose their passwords and Id's? It seems that from the moment you purchase your computer you are forever being asked for your official ID and password. Even many free sites ask for this information. To make matters worse, websites force us to come up with quite a few different passwords as they tell us how many letters, numbers, capital or small letters your password must be. Take a look at these ways to save your passwords and protect them.

A few ways to protect your passwords are:

  • In your email program, create a folder called "My Passwords". Then as you receive confirmation of passwords and sites you've registered at, you can drag the message to your folder.
  • Create a file in Excel to place your passwords, websites etc.
  • Password vault programs allow you to easily manage your passwords. CNET Best Picks Google Search Ideas

Above all, whatever way you choose to save your passwords, make sure you back up the folder or file for future use!
