How To Keep Your Readers On YOUR Site

Maria Marsala by Maria Marsala

Summary: You maybe sending your web site visitors off your site and you don't know it. OR you maybe forcing them to open a new page on your site, and that's a NO NO, too. Read more below.

OK. It's time to add links on your site that will offer your client's added services or information. Maybe an article you enjoy? Or an affiliate program you recommend, or even a link to your favorite website - mine!!

How can you keep your visitors on your site and provide this additional information? It's pretty simple - add a teeny bit of code to all the "off your site links" and keep a page to your web site open too.

The code is target="_blank" or target="new" Add it directly after the web site name. The HTML code will look like this:
a href="http://www.coachmaria.com" target="_blank" Of course you're required to put < > (tags) around the link that I just wrote here, but if I did that... you wouldn't be able to read the HTML code.

Tip:
Use this tip when you're linking to other sites or
On Indexed pages such as an index to all your articles where you want the reader to get back to your index quickly.
Don't use this suggestion on every link on your site. You'll annoy folks by forcing their system to open new browsers windows too often.
