Marketing With Integrity
MARKETING DEFINED: Marketing is about building relationships, attracting the best people to your commodity, connecting with others, and telling others how your service or product adds value to their lives or the lives of their friends and family. To market wisely, it is imperative that you clearly can tell others about the benefits of your product and how it can help them - and do so in one sentence! It's also important that you consider your ideal client, your best fit or target market, when you are marketing. You can create the best marketing plan ever; if it doesn't attract your ideal client, you are wasting your time and money! 'Marketing with Integrity' means using marketing techniques and concepts that truly reflect your business and your personality. It's a step away from 'one-size-fits-all' marketing campaigns. Marketing with integrity brings us freedom and energy! If the type of marketing you're doing now is draining, overwhelming, annoying, a task or a bother - or if you're doing it because other people are doing it - then for goodness sakes - CHANGE what you're doing! With so many marketing venues (in person, Internet, on the phone) to choose from, pick the marketing tools that best fit 'YOU.' That doesn't mean that you don't stretch yourself sometimes. It does mean that when a certain type of marketing you're trying is 'zapping your energy,' it's time to re-evaluate. Sometimes, re-evaluating means changing the task to suit YOU more. Other times, it means letting it go. If it's not comfortable for you, that's the message others will hear too. Would you want to buy from someone who seems nervous or uncomfortable with what they're selling? My recommendation: pick a time of the year - each year - and re-evaluate your marketing program.
