What In The World Do You Do With All Those Cd's

Stategic Business Coach, Planning Strategist Maria Marsala by Maria Marsala

Summary: If you're like me, you have a zillion Cd's you can no longer use. Instead of throwing them out, see if you can recycle them using the suggestions below.

So you're like me. You have old Cd's from computer programs (or musicians) that no longer serve you well. OR you receive a zillion in the mail each year from companies requesting you to sign up for their free service. Well, what do you do with old Cd's?

  • Put them under candle holders. They will help save your furniture, and the light shines more brightly! (my favorite purpose)
  • Use them under any type of can in the bathroom or kitchen ...such as Lysol disinfectant spray, Comet, or shaving cream. They will stop rust spots from getting on your tub or shelves!
  • Use them as coasters under your cups or glasses.
  • Glue them together to form a large round circle. Then glue them to the bottom of paint cans. This is an excellent way to make sure that the paint doesn't hit the floor!
  • Anyone need some trivets or hot plates for small hot pots?
  • Put them under vases and they protect your furniture from condensation. Don't forget the space under your plants containers, too.
  • Use them to create Christmas tree decorations (ideas sent to me by Mary Kvalheim of Alaska).
  • Mary's friend also hangs them on trees to scare the moose from eating pears and apples from her trees!

To clean them, just pop them in the dishwasher. When the Cd's start to look beat up, they're finally ready to be thrown out! And, of course, replace them with the tons of other Cd's you have saved to use in their place!!
